origin story

Home Grown Tallow was born from the skin care needs of our family. 
it started with my search for a product to prevent stretch marks with my second pregnancy.  during that time I also had recently switched my diet to a more whole food, whole animal fat diet to provide nutrients where I was lacking as entered into pregnancy.  because the two specific needs I had both included beef, tallow ended up being my skin solution.  shortly after using it specifically for stretch mark prevention, tallow balm started replacing SO many other products my family spent money on, including uses for my husband, children and pets.  after trying multiple companies tallow products, I decided I needed to make my own to meet our families specific needs. 

after just over a year of trying new blends and providing my family with our supply of tallow balm, I had to suggest it as solutions to my close friends and family as well.  when they started seeing results for issues I never guessed tallow balm could help with, the recommendations to make more and sell it began.  now, we have Home Grown Tallow.  

the name Home Grown is important to us.  each ingredient is sourced from a company who gives their heart and soul into their product and does so because they too became passionate in creating a product they know is superior in quality and will help those who use it.  in a world where consumerism has cheapened our products and their value, Home Grown Tallow is swimming up stream in the opposite direction.  this product exists because of a need and is now produced to help others find relief and healing.
